FSM Department of Justice Investigating Allegations Against "Saki Store"

A former employee of "Saki Store" has come forward with claims of illegal activities including, bribery, contract violations, and abuse.

"Saki Store" along with "JG Store" in Pohnpei are stores that belong to Padma Enterprises. The owners are originally from India with business partners from the FSM.

The allegations come from a recently fired Indian employee who explained that employees that are brought in to the FSM from India have their passports taken upon arrival, they are forced to work extra hours without pay, and they live in conditions that are described as: "in jail".

Further allegations include faking immigration and labor documents and bribing government workers as high as the FSM Department of Justice.
